Fostering creativity and collaboration to bring young imaginations to life
The design inspiration for this project stemmed from my deep-rooted love for mid-century aesthetics, known for its clean lines, geometric shapes, and colours. However, I wanted to ensure that the design also reflected Catia’s unique artistic vision and vibrant spirit.
To achieve this, I incorporated Catia’s colour palette into the poster design, creating a harmonious blend of vintage and modern elements. The poster, printed on canvas, featured Catia’s handwritten “Pariz in Franz” logo, which I meticulously scanned and cleaned up in Illustrator, ensuring a polished and professional look.
To further enhance the window installation, I hung lighting fixtures that complemented the poster’s design and incorporated colour-changing LED globes. These lights added a dynamic and interactive element to the display, creating a captivating ambiance that drew attention to Catia’s creation, especially at night.
This project was a labour of love that brought together my daughter and a talented dressmaker to create something truly special. Witnessing Catia’s joy and excitement when we surprised her with the unveiling of the installation was a heartwarming and unforgettable experience.
The “Pariz in Franz” collaboration not only showcased my design skills but also highlighted my ability to collaborate effectively with others, including a young and budding designer. It is a testament to my passion for fostering creativity and bringing unique visions to life through design.
