Diego, a Veteran Designer with a Passion for Pixels..

With more than twenty years in the field, I’ve built a practice centred on thoughtful, visually driven design. I focus on creating work that holds up over time and solving design challenges with clarity and purpose.

My career has been shaped by a strong attention to detail, a solid grasp of design fundamentals, and the ability to turn ideas into clear, engaging visuals. My portfolio spans a wide range of projects and showcases my capability across Adobe Creative Suite, as well as digital and print execution at a high standard.

Technical Skills & Services

I work with a set of tools that keep the design-to-development process straightforward and efficient, ensuring projects feel refined from the start. With more than a decade of hands-on website building, I bring a strong WordPress foundation supported by deep experience with Elementor, Advanced Custom Fields, and Figma. These tools help me shape clean, high-definition concepts such as the recent Jody Kahlon site.

My focus is always on clarity, usability, and design that elevates how a brand is understood. My core strengths sit in web design, UI design, and branding and identity. I also create content for Jody Kahlon’s Instagram, refining my visual communication across digital platforms. I can provide specific examples that show how I’ve used WordPress, Elementor, ACF, and Figma to deliver reliable, well-executed results.

Photography

My photography spans documentary, street, fine art, concerts, and everyday life. I work across both digital and film, choosing each format for what it brings to the moment. Film is my preference. It has a mature, tactile quality that slows everything down in the best way, and I like the honesty it brings to an image.

I see a photo in almost everything, always looking out for that shot. Its intoxicating!

In 2025 I released my first self-published photography book, featuring more than 150 black-and-white images captured over the past twenty years. It marks the beginning of a three-volume series, with volumes two and three to follow.

You can explore the full collection in my photography portfolio.

Music Is Me, My Life

Outside the studio, music is what keeps me moving. I don’t use Spotify; I run my own curated media server that follows me everywhere.

When I’m out shooting on the street, my cameras usually get paired with Madlib, early Tribe Called Quest, or deeper late-eighties and early-nineties New York cuts from artists like Masta Ace, Lord Finesse, or Showbiz and A.G. Some days it leans into chillhop from Jinsang, Psalm Trees, or Saib. Other days it shifts toward jazz-funk with Donald Byrd or The Blackbyrds, the cool edge of Art Pepper, or the experimental world of Ninja Tune.

And yes, sometimes even the cornier side of yacht rock. It all feeds back into how I see, frame, and respond to the world around me.

I’m also a father to a creative, soulful, and bright ten-year-old who approaches ideas in a way that mirrors my own, just with her own fresh and wonderfully conceptual twist. She keeps me grounded and inspired in ways I rarely see coming.

Melbourne keeps me busy too. Between its cold winters and dry summers, the city has a rhythm that feeds my work. Its mix of art, culture, and everyday grit gives me the creative energy I depend on.

Why You Should Hire Me

I enjoy taking on new projects, collaborating with driven people, and staying connected to the ideas shaping contemporary design. I keep my practice sharp by researching industry developments, testing new tools, and continually refining my approach.

If you have a project in mind and feel my skills and perspective align with what you need, I’d be glad to talk.
